Professor Saifur Rahman participated at the seminar “Battery Energy Storage as Backup Power for The Garment Industries” where participants discussed the use of diesel generators as well as batteries as a backup power to provide uninterrupted and quality power to the ready-made garment industry. The Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC) plans to research the feasibility of the such a system.
